Single crystal of (DMET-TTF)2AuI2 with golden wires attached at 8 contacts for Hall measurements. The dimensions of the crystal in millimeters are given. This material exhibits quantum oscillations (field induced spin density wave transitions) at low temperatures and high magnetic fields.
Participants at the Physical Phenomena in High Magnetic Field (PPHMF) III conference held in Tallahassee in October 1998. Four Nobel prize winners are in the first row, including two of the 1998 laurelates for their work on fractional quantum Hall effect: Horst Störmer and Robert Laughlin. Von Klitzing received his Nobel award in 1985 for the discovery of quantum Hall effect.
